Gmmg!!!!!!! Com inside Well I have heard gmmg many times and have decided thats the tone I want. Now from the gmmg guys or anyone whos heard it i want to know how loud is it when just crusing through town? The only ls1 around here besides me has flowmasters how much louder is it than that crusing? Do you guys think I am spending my moeny wisely buying this exhaust?

Re: Gmmg!!!!!!! Com inside Hey Pewter, would you say the gmmg sounds the closest to the throaty note from those pesky mustangs. My friend has a supercharged 99 GT with Borla exhaust. The note is incredible, its extremely loud and deep. I too am looking for that same sound for my firebird

If you want something loud, run open headers and you pay the ticket from the cops. Here is what I run on my cars;
99 Z28 with Borla.
2000 SS with SLP. (Not Loud Mouth)
2001 SS with GMMG.
Everyone who hears or drives my cars vote for the GMMG hands down!

Re: Gmmg!!!!!!! Com inside Although I have the GMMG with FLP headers, I can tell you that it is indeed louder than a Flowmaster especially at WOT. Plus, it doesn't have the drone that Flowmaster seems to have around 2200 - 2500 RPM range. I don't get any rasp either. Everyone who has heard the car thinks that it sounds bad ***. People with decked out ricers as well as Z06s have pulled up next to me to compliment the set-up. Though, for the money I spent, I should hope to hell that it sounds good. Truthfully, I was a little skeptical about ordering the GMMG since I wasn't able to hear them on anyone else's car in person. Thankfully, I made the right decision; I'm extremely happy with the purchase. I do think that this is the cat-back that you are looking for. The only place that you can buy it from is www.gmmginc.net. At times, they have a small GP but you’ll have to call them for more information.

Re: Gmmg!!!!!!! Com inside Well I have a GMMG with everything else stock at the moment and it is fantastic. It is loud enough, but doesn't drone at all on the highway, especially with stock gears. It is louder than the majority of setups, but it is a great sound. I will be adding SLP long tubes in December so it will get a bit louder, but I'll also be adding my sound system with some dynamat which will quiet it down inside. If you want to hear the exhaust le me know and maybe we can work something out. I am in Atlanta, but I will be at the Shootout this weekend in Reynolds.

I personally don't like the sound of the loudmouth, but thats just my opinion. Also, the loudmouth drones like crazy on the highway. It is pretty bad. I really don't think you can go wrong with the GMMG. Hell, I can even pick your system up for you if you want - I always like going up to GMMG and checking out all the cars.

Re: Gmmg!!!!!!! Com inside I saw where you posted in the thread I made about gmmg. You said that you didnt think that this was the setup for me..why? I want something louder than flowmaster with a deep toen and no rasp at all(like a stang)! I plan on leaving the stock manifolds and y pipe also. I dotn want anything as loud a loudmouth but something just a tad less.

The car sounded just a bit louder than stock when I first got it on my basically stock TransAm.
Now I have heads/cam/Long Tubes and it is much much louder.
The off-roads sounded good but it was very very loud (the whole town could here me when I got on it). I put the hi-flow cats on it and it is more to my liking and not nearly as loud. But even with the cats on the LTs have made this much louder than before the LTs.
Also with the off-roads there was quite a bit of rasp from 2000-2400 rpm. Kind of a loud bwaaaaap sound no matter how light you were on the throttle (I didn't like that sound much).
Now I just need some better looking tips <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Gmmg!!!!!!! Com inside I've been to GMMG a couple of times. The guys that work there all have the GMMG exhaust (imagine that). It was loud on their cars, but I think they weren't running cats. That video was awesome! I was going up to Clemson that Saturday to watch you guys run, but decided to get dyno tuned instead. I'll be getting GMMG soon! PS-I'll see you guys at the Shootout this weekend.
Re: Gmmg!!!!!!! Com inside Even though I don't have one on my car, YET, the GMMG is my all time favorite exhaust!! I have heard it on everything from a stock Z28, to a T/A with LT's and ORP, and it sounds totally awesome no matter what it's on!!! You cannot go wrong with this cat back!!! It's a little pricey, but well worth it, in my opinion!!!
