Open headers?
I was wondering if it'll be ok to drive my car w/ open headers up to an exhaust shop to have a custom ypipe made. It'd be probly about a 20 minute drive. Would that f*ck anything up by driving 20 minutes w/o the o2 sensors plugged in or anything?

It might screw up your pocketbook if you get caught. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Heat might be a problem. If it was me I would have the exhaust shop make some collector extensions out of 3 in pipe with turndowns on the end so that the heat would be redirected away from the uderside of the car. Or you could put it on a trailer.

Re: Open headers?
If you are like me with the hooker headers it is loud as hell. Wont make it very far. But nothing will be screwed up. Just dont let the wires drag on the groud of rest against the header and you will be fine if you can avoid the police.

Re: Open headers?
hmmmm ok would it be possible for the muffler shop to rig up a generic ypipe that would fit the headers and fit into my catback, then after i get the headers on, i could put the pipe in, and take it to the shop and have them customize it a bit (bend it for clearance)
