SLP Air Temperature Module???
Thank for the info! Pretty much what I thought I would here.
You can pick up a 4.7 kOhm resistor at Radio Shack and it will do the same thing for about 50 cents. Just unplug your IAT connector and stick it across the harness terminals. Your IAT's will always read 57 degreesF. This is supposed to put you on the most aggressive timing curve (I believe as IAT temp increases the PCM will retard timing up to 3 degrees). I experimented with it last year and actually picked up a half to one degree of timing so I kept it. Its been working fine for me, but I am also using a MAFT, etc., so just plugging it in may not work for you. I ended up spending the $20 for the SLP version since I got tired of looking at the resistor and black tape hanging there.
Once I get LS1Edit I don't see why it'll be necessary anymore.
