Is my exhaust FUBAR?

Is my exhaust FUBAR? I had a local exhaust shop install my Mufflex y-pipe and Hooker catback to mate up with my Hooker headers. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> Now, my driver side part of the y-pipe is about 1/8" away from my floorboard. I see the problem, I think. The y-pipe is crooked. Instead of the collector, or the "y", being flat, it is sitting slanted, about a 30 degree angle I would say. And, he welded my reducer to the "y" and to the I-pipe in the catback. So, I can't turn it straight without cutting the pipes and having it rewelded back straight. What should I do? I don't think even a torque strap would keep it from hitting when it is this close. This is really pissing me off. Please, help me if you can.

Re: Is my exhaust FUBAR? Unless you are using a special clearance tube the Y-pipe will be crooked in order to clear the frame rail on the driverside right behind the header collector. For now you can stick some heater hose wedged in there to prevent banging.

fuBAR as in "Beyond All Repair" in this case?
If you have an A4, with the car on a frame hoist (NOT sitting on the wheels), you might try brake torquing to see if it hits, and where.
From your desription, if it hits, you MIGHT be able to bend it slightly, maybe carefully heating the pipe in certain areas. If not, cuting and refitting sounds like the plan. If the original installer doesn't want to make it right, go elsewhere; you don't want to be in a pi$$ing contest with a guy working on your pipes!
Try a racecar fabricator if there's one in your area.
