Default dual cutouts vs single

right now i have a single cutout after the flp Y pipe. i make 10 more rwtq with it open than going out the dual/dual. hp peaks are the same, but its higher throughout the band with it open.

i have a cam and stock heads if it matters any (i hear stock camed cars dyno better with it closed)- im thinking of getting some cutouts welded up in my off road pipes so i have a dual cutout setup. would this be benneficial over my single cutout after the Y pipe now?

I am going to be testing dual cutouts vs single cutouts soon. Just made up the QTEC Y pipe on the car. I still have the rear one there so i will be doing various dyno runs open vs closed etc. Will post info when im done.

i have 3 cutouts on my car now. 2 right off the headers & one before the axle. i don't have any testing results but i do like the sound of open headers <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ,the only problem is everytime i drive like that someone calls the police.i think i am going to go with a dual setup with the x-pipe & bullets to try to save some weight off the borla. i hope it sounds as good.

you think it was a waste of money, or do you think it helped a little...hard to tell without track results though.

well the car seems to like it. seems not as backed up to me on the throttle. i drove it like that at the track. but i have never drove at the track with just the one by the axle open. i think it gives enough space from the O2's to not create any turbulance that would cause any computer problems.waste of money? it depends, i like the sound but really don't get to enjoy it like i wanted & the one leaks because the rim(lip) that seals it shut from a small dip in it from the install, but that is my faught & it is not bad at all, just under mid throttle.if i lived somewhere were i could drive around like that all the time i am sure i would like it more.hope that helps
