mac headers/ no cats

mac headers/ no cats hi! 2000 camaro ss, just put mac headers and took the cats off. ses light is on, and the exhaust fumes are strong. also see smoke from exhaust when running hard..wasn't doing it before install...is this normal? please help..thanks
Re: mac headers/ no cats You need to to delete the rear O2's with LS1 Edit. Also, the smoke you are seeing now is because you are pig rich after the install. Don't worry, this happens when you go to an ORP. Get Edit and you can fix a lot of problems. Check out the computer and diagnostics section to learn how to make changes with Edit. Yes, it's pricey but it's about the only thing going.

Re: mac headers/ no cats I did the same thing, but have an slp MAF. a-tapped it and I'm runnin perfect. also I have o2 sims. might try that, it is a little less expensive. if you have a friend w/ a-tap. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
