Those that have sent Corsa muffler in for replacement

Those that have sent Corsa muffler in for replacement I have what I thought was that same problem others have had with the muffler - rattles at idle very loudly like marbles are in there or it is really loose. Mine was on tight and had plenty of clearance around the muffler and exhuast.
I took the muffler off but there is nothing loose inside the muffler. If you sent yours in for replacement: when you removed it was there anything loose in the muffler?

Re: Those that have sent Corsa muffler in for replacement Yes, I have have replaced the muffler on both sides in my C5, one about a year ago the other about six months ago. Each time clearances were okay and everything was nice and tight. Shake the muffler canister and it rattled plenty, sounded like an internal weld had come loose. Did not cut it open. I was unaware that the F-body muffler had problems like this, you don't often hear about it on C5s.
I would think that if you can't make the muffler rattle while off the car your problem lies elsewhere. Shake it some more. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Those that have sent Corsa muffler in for replacement I just sent my Corsa muffler back and couldn't hear anything when I shook it either. I KNOW that a weld is loose though. I ran a different exhaust setup and all of my rattles are GONE. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Those that have sent Corsa muffler in for replacement My friend had his first and now his second muffler just went bad in a matter of 3 months, we are sending this one back and getting a 3rd, something is wrong over at corsa, you guys know how hard it is to get those freaking tailpipes off! we should get a discount or something.

Re: Those that have sent Corsa muffler in for replacement I had my Corsa muffler on my car for two weeks and then it started doing the same damn thing you guys are talking about...I called Corsa they denied everything but sent me a second muffler anyway...I've had the second muffler on my car now for a little over a month and haven't had any trouble yet. I hope its not just a matter of time. Interesting to hear all you people making the same complaint being as whoever was at Corsa acted like I had just told him God was a lobster when I told him my muffler was a POS.
