Lid sealing and filter ? Everyone please respond. How many people have had problems with lid not sealing tight. Is k@n really that bad that even with gasket it will still let debris through. How many people have k@n and no problems. I just installed direct flo lid and noticed a little light where the lid goes onto the throttlebody. I just lined the first inch and a half of the lid with duct tape. About 3 or 4 layers to get all the gap out. I put a real bright light behind the lid to check for leaks. How hard was the lid to put on your first time does iut get easier to open and close with time. Sorry for all the questions just concerned.

Re: Lid sealing and filter ? Everyone please respond. one thing, make sure that the lid is tucked into the factory box between the two clips, if not this will create gaps and pressure all over the box and throttle body! just a thought <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Lid sealing and filter ? Everyone please respond. I have a slp lid with k&n filter! Mine lets in bugs and all kinds of crap. I Cnat get anyone to really go into detail about what and how I exactly need to fix this thing! I have been told to buy a holley filter but I dont want to buy one of those and still have a leaking problem!

Everyone please respond. my mti clear lid seals quite well. its good that its clear so you can see it contacting the gasket all the way around except for a little bit in the very center on the front but its still tight enough not to let anything in but the gasket isnt actually making contact with the lid. btw, its a K&N filter.
