Qustion on fuel sending units. Well i got a 98 Camaro SS/Z28 I have the metal gas tank, which is pretty heavy. I happen to know someone who has a 2000, 2001, 2002 dont know which year exactly he has its between 00-02. Reason why i want to put that tank to save some weight. I heared its about 20lbs. Here is my qustion is the fuel sending unit same with the 98' model as far as the gallons per minute?
By the way the tank is all complete.

The 98 in-tank assembly is different than the later years. I don't know the exact differences off hand, but the pump itself does have a little more capacity than the '99-up systems.
AFAIK, you can drop the '98 assembly right into a 99-up tank.

Re: Qustion on fuel sending units. are they both same gallons per hour or one of the pumps is stonger than the other. I could always change the pumps inside the tank. The sending unit is diffrent. 98' bolts to the tank but 99' up it just twists and locks itself. what i accually want to know is are they both same gallons per hour or not. Or i have to swap just the pumps from the sending unit.
