Default borla exhaust

Which will make more power, LM exhaust or a borla witht a qtec controller wide open. I think the borla should but i don't know. This will be on a car with Hooker LTs and ORYP. I just don't want it to be raspy do you think it will be?

i have the Borla & an LGM Ypipe.
"Factory Manifolds"!
Mine is not Raspy @ all!!
I run my Borla's open, no plate.
All i get is a deep, hollow, rumble. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
Can only assume what it would sound like with headers! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I have the hooker LTs and ORY and the LM sounds like crap when it gets to 2000 Rpms to about 2500. Total rasp. I would say borla if thats your second choice. I am thinking of going with the GMMG chamber exhaust. Heard great things about it and i love the sound of the ZL1 and Berger and all the others.

I have Mac headers and Borla exhaust. It does have a certain range if accerlaration at it will be kind of raspy but under normal Acc. it is deep and sounds really good. WOT is loud no other way to describe it. I forgot no cats on it.

when you talk about yours is it with the plate open? what about it all the way closed. i will ahve an elecric baffle for it so when i son't want to race i will have it all the way closed

That is the setup I have. Hooker LT's, orp, electric plate (different brand, DMH), Borla. Fully closed you can't really tell I have headers, when I nail it it's pretty quiet. No rasp at all, I don't wake my neighbors in the morning. Wide open it will scare women and children. I must be hard of hearing, I'm still trying to figure out what the famous Borla rasp is. And you can adjust it in between so it flows out both tips evenly. The best setup imo. Fun to freak people out when you flip it open while driving. I laugh when I read about guys welding in bullet mufflers, ect. They end up spending the same $$, lose power going through 2 mufflers, and still can't adjust it.
