Everything Rattles and Shakes
You could replace the bullets with turbo style mufflers. That would help.

A month or 2 ago i got my x-pipe put on with 2 bullet mufflers ( 12" ) and turndowns aimed 45 degrees to the sides. I have been living with it but its getting worse every day it seems. At low-mid rpm range the car rattles and even vibrates quite a bit. Around 45mph or so when its in 4th gear and doesn't want to shift down it rattles like crazy. Its quite embarasing when i have a girl in the car im wanting to impress In addition, when they installed the x-pipe at the shop they removed that cross support... is that going to cause any problems down the road? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me on how to solve this problem.

sorry for the offtopic , but i had a girl in my car she loved the vibrations LOL
I'm sorry but I just love people like you. You install a race exhaust that isnt made to fit perfectly and you wonder why these things are happening.
1) Check to see if the exhaust is hitting the floor at any point. That will cause a nasty vibration.
B) Run the exhaust the rest of the way out the side or back of the car so that it exits beyond the floor.
III) Turn the turndowns 'down'
Four) Put quieter mufflers on, like Borla XR1s

2) check to ensure the shop hung the exhaust with rubber isolated hangers not solid. Rubber iso's will reduce mechanical vibration and allow the exhasut to move w/ RPM's. Solid hangers will allow vibration and may cause leaking exhaust from the engines torque side to side as it revs and the pipe being solidly affixed tot he body.
3) tunnel brace, well, it wasn't necessarily put there to add weight, but you'll be safe without it, sacrificing some degree of structural integrity I imagine, how much is the question. I have seen dual setups but none that required the removal of the tunnel brace, hum????
Good Luck, Charlie.
