LS6 Intake.........will it hurt me in performance?

LS6 Intake.........will it hurt me in performance? I recently bolted on an LS6 intake . My current mods are SLP longtube headers, y-pipe and high flow cats,cutout, cartek 218/222 .562 .562 cam, Vigilante 3200 converter with 3.42 gears.
I was wondering if the LS6 intake is worth it? A friend told me that it wouldn't help any unless I got a set of aftermarket heads..............

Re: LS6 Intake.........will it hurt me in performance? It help you on a stock motor, but the more mods you have the more you will gain. so with you cam and headers it will help more so then an ls6 inatke would on a stock motor, but once you get heads it will help even more.
