Which catback with large cam?
Which catback with large cam? Hey everyone, just a quick poll on what catback I should go with after my cam install. I have the LM and love it but think I will gut the cats so im gonna need a different catback so all opinions appreciated. Catback also needs to be fairly inexpensive as im not spending $700 plus on a catback, thats why the options are there. Also, before anyone goes the typical route of posting "do a search" or "go to ls1sounds and listen" dont worry I have heard a bunch of clips, just want to see what people are going with now on fairly large cam setups, gutted cats/ory, and headers. Thanks!
Really depends on what you're looking for. If you want loud, go with duals. If you want loud, but not THAT loud, go with Magnaflow. Hooker and Dual/Dual will both be the quietest, but still not too quiet with a big cam.
Thanks guys keep them coming! I like my exhaust pretty loud but I dont want to break the bank. Plus im gonna get a cutout in the I-pipe so ill have my loud when I want it, but I want something better for around town. I am leaning towards the hooker catback due to its cost and because it is supposed to flow extremely well with the hooker aerochamber. I dont want it to be extremely quiet but I also dont want LM/gutted cats/headers/large cam loud. I also want to keep my gutted cats and dont want it dumped at the rear so i dunno if i can go with duals. Plus run out the back with cats is gonna cost me an arm and a leg.
