Default QTP Cutout

So far I have done induction stuff and was wanting some exhaust stuff done too. I dont like the idea of cutting up all the muffler and everything and dont have that much money to spend. So would the Qtech cutout on the I pipe be a good way to go about performance for not alotta $? And how much does this cost on anerage to get installed? Thanks!

i got mine, i like it alot, the QTEC was 150 dollars with shipping, and then i had it installed by Horsepower Store for 75 dollars, i probally could of installed it, but i didn;t have any time so i paid for it to be done, it took them about two hours to install, i put my switch under the dash on the right side, i wanted to put it in the ash tray but because i have a A4, there would not be any room, since you have a M6, they or you may be able to install it in the ash tray,,, good luck, if any more questions, ask away

I like my QTECH I run with it open all the time and close it only when I have to.(cop behinde me). I got someone to weld the cut out and I installed the QTECH my self in under 2 hrs. I mounted my toggel switch on the left side on the pannel under the steering wheel so I can shift and close it if I need to. Call Barry he will be glad to help you out. And if you have any problems instaling it he will be glad to talk you through it. Good coustomer service like this is hard to finde now days.

Wiring my QTECH was easy. It only has 3 wires, one is a ground (black)one is a power (red) and one is a cable that plugs and screws tight to the toggle switch to the cut out itself. I see that you have a SS so you can wire it up just like I did. First solder enough wire to run from where you want to mount your switch to around your radio area to the ground and power wire. I removed the pannel that goes around the radio.(the pannel that has the two A/C vents, it just pops off). You will need to unplug the two electric plugs that are connected to the pannel. I taped into the pink wire that is on the traction control wire harness for my power source. For the ground wire I pulled out the small storage box thing that is to the left of the lighter. Disconnect the lighter plug and tap into the black wire for the ground. noteIt was hell pluging my lighter plug back in my hands were to big and I rubed my hand raw trying fit my hand in the in the small space. I finally got my girl friend to plug it in for me, her hands are alot smaller than mine.) Next I ran the cable that goes from the switch to the cut out behinde the dash, under the side door pannel then I took out the passanger side rear seat(one bolte under seat)and pulled the carpet up so I had access to the rubber drain plug in the floor board.(not the drain plug under the seat but the one on the floor board) Cut a X in the drain plug and run the cable to the cut out. I also put some sealent on the plug just to keep exhaust gasses out. I am not that good with electrical stuff so if I can do it I know you can. I hope this helps.
