HOOD BAFFLE HELP PLS Team:
I just removed both hood baffles from my car yesterday and I had to drive in little rain today.
I noticed that water had reached the lowe rpart of airbox tray that the filter sits on but not on the filter. Is this normal?
Also, what and how can I make comething to cover the honeycombs incase of rain.

Re: HOOD BAFFLE HELP PLS What I did was tap the two upper holes in the long baffle and when it is going to rain, I stick it back in and have two screws holding it from inside the hood - it works well and is easy. I also made my own transition piece to seal the hood to the box out of heating duct material. It really helps.
If you have an oiled filter (KN type), a little water will not get through.
This reminds me - it is supposed to rain tonight -better go stick the baffle in...

Re: HOOD BAFFLE HELP PLS i also took both baffeles out of my car about a year and half ago. i have never had any water get to or past my air filter. if you want a good way to seal it up from rain then go to http://luna.snu.edu/~operativex/formulaws6/index2.html and go to where it says modification on the left and click then scroll down to where it says removed hood baffles. it is a friends site.

Re: HOOD BAFFLE HELP PLS I have run no baffles and a Whisper Ram Air for nearly 2 years now without any troubles, car has been driven about every kind of weather without a single problem.
I remove the honeycomb grills only for the track. Mostly because I don't like the look with them out.
