Default Adjusting Throttle cable length

I just finished my cam and rod bolt swap in my LS1. I fired it up and it ran good but I noticed it was idling at about 1500rpms, so I checked the throttle body and the cable and the TB was opened a little bit. So what can I do to get a little extra throttle cable length. I guess I could take off the braket on my intake manifold that holds the cable and bend it a bit, but there must be an easier way.

If it was working fine before, you don't need to do anything.

Does your car have traction controll?

Default yes

The car ran good before, but the throttle body blade was not being held open before either, and it is now. So somehow from when I took the TB off to when I put it back on after the cam install the cable shortened. Oh yeah I do have traction control.

Follow the cable from the TCS to the firewall. There is a connector there that holds the cable in place. Pop it off ( careful! don't lose it ) and adjust, then pop it back on, it will hold that position.

To test, take the cover off the TCS and manually rotate it, making sure the TB opens and closes properly ( can remove lid and MAF to do this but don't need to ).

^^^ That is why I asked about the TCS (ASR) ^^^

You might just try simply pulling it out of the TCS box a little bit.

You're talking about that black plastic cover right? I took that off wanting to adjust mine, but I'm not sure how exactly you go about adjusting it. I know, a dumb question, but I don't want to mess anything up.
