Header size question...
Header size question... well, i have a set of Hooker LT's that i was running on my stock motor. since that blew, i'm either doing a 382 all bore motor or possibly a 422 if i take the dive and buy the $$ crank. Anyways, should i keep the Hooker's, or should i step up to a larger header, like the dynatechs? who else makes a header thats bigger than the 1 3/4" that the hookers are? Thanks for any help.

Re: Header size question... I am thinking about adding headers to my car soon and I have found a site called www.headersbyed.com. They "sell" you info on how to build headers. I am not intrested in building my own headers but I would like to know just what size headers they recommend. I`m sure most of the after market supplyers make headers the right size for our cars but I am just thinking about ordering the info to see what it says. Check out the site and let me know what you think.

Re: Header size question... QTP sells 1 7/8" longtubes. They're just like the old 1 3/4" Grotts (EXCELLENT headers!) but they're 1 7/8". For a 422 I'd go with 1 7/8". For a 382 I'd still go with 1 7/8" if I planned on juicin' alot.
