Short belt mod question Is it OK to drive around for an extendend period of time with just the short belt on? And does this free up any HP? And lastly can I get a part number for the short belt?

Re: Short belt mod question i think most just switch at the track. Its easy to swap belts, but make sure you have some gloves if the engine is hot <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
some guys dont see any gains, some pick up 5-9hp with it. One of my friends picked up 2mph and a tenth with it!
I dont see what it will hurt, you just wont have power steering. I'd rather have it on for track and put the stock belt back on for street. Feels like im driving a farm truck with the short belt on there <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />
