With the ASP underdrive crankpulley only, you can expect a .04 to .10 reduction in your 1/4 mi. e.t. Most people only do the crankpulley swap due to charging issues w/alternator pulley. The car surely seems to "rev up", or "spool up" much quicker. IMO, it's a good bolt-on mod. WJ. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Along the same lines - how much does just the crank pulley reduce the alternator?

I have some stereo equpment in the car so I can't go to low - don't want those blinking lights you know.

Is your car a M6 or A4? If it is an auto you will only want to run the crank pulley. You will see a drop in voltage when you are setting at a light, but nothing to major. I have not heard of many people with autos running both pullies.

Mine is an M6. Is running the alternator pulley worth the risk of low voltage?

I am wondering what gains people have seen with the underdrive crank pulley and if I should go with the alternator pulley also?

Left my SS stock for a year and now I am gathering info on mods to do over the winter. Only mod so far is GMMG chambered. Absulutely had to have that!
