remove panhard brace ???

remove panhard brace ??? Wanting to do duel exhaust over the rear axle. What would happen if the panhard brace was removed? Has anyone done this and braced the panhard mount? Needs to be able to handle road race/auto-x connering. Has anyone ever made a "different" brace to allow the exhaust pipe to travel over the drivers side?

Re: remove panhard brace ??? I saw some other posts that involved reinforcing the brace and getting rid of the cross bar. Do a search for it.

Re: remove panhard brace ??? I assume you are talking about the brace that attaches to the floor of the car on the drivers side and to the pan hard tower bracket on the passenger? I removed mine and drove for a couple years with no problem. I recently reinstalled it thinking maybe the tower was flexing at launch and it might have an effect on traction. Since reinstalling it I haven't lost traction once. I used to lose traction on occasion. Who knows! I do know if you plan on hitting a curb pretty hard from the side that it would be good to have on. Maybe even for heavy corning I'm sure it would give better support and stability.
