Nickel plated headers?

Nickel plated headers? There is a place in Baton Rouge that will nickel plate headers inside and out for a price close to Jet Hot prices. Would this hold up as well? Also would they turn blue when they get hot? This is done only as a sideline to his primary business. Let me know what you think. Thanks Jimmy
Re: Nickel plated headers? Nickel will turn many shades of blue then rust. Nickel was the old way of making exhaust last longer.. ceramic "jet hot" coatings are far more durable.
