I have the mufflex with the single tail pipe flowmaster muffler, and it sounds absolutely wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better sound, have only had it on a short period of time, but have gotten multiple compliments about it. Also my friend has the 4" mufflex with the spintech on his 86 Iroc and it sounds great, but its not an LS1 sound i supposed the sound would be different.

The sound is awesome. The fitment...blew ***. I had the 3.5 system with dual outs. (one on each side).

It shook the **** out of the car, rattled, banged and the bands didn't hold.

It sounded awesome though. The spintech muffler is about the size of a 55 gallon drum and doesn't tuck up very well. I think mine was made by someone who had been drinking heavy the night before.

I had a 4" system and thought that it sounded awesome and was a really great fit at that.

I have read from posts on hear of people think of the system as robbing hp. I'm not sure how legit that is, but its something to consider.

is 3.5 inch exhaust to big for just bolt-ons, (headers, lid, 3inch y pipe)? do you think it would rob hp? don't want to go backwards. n

I have heads/cam/intake + the rest of the bolt-ons with 2.5 true dual exhaust and it is plenty.

which mufflers are you running? i was also thinking of going that route, over the axle. i don't want it to be super loud, would 1 or 2 chamber flowmasters, or magnaflow 5x8's be quieter than bullets, but still flow enough. i plan on a heads and cam, as soon as i pay the car off. (1yr left). thanks for the help.

I am running flow pro twisters. They are a really quiet muffler. The 1 or 2 chambered flows would work fine if you have the clearance.
