Please help - exhaust cutout install time
I'm getting my exhaust cutout today, and I need to know how long it takes to install one of these. I've contacted a reputable shop, but they want $90 to install it (1 hour labor).
Is this high? Does it really take an hour to install the cutout? If that is how long it takes, then I'll pay it, but I had my SFCs welded in in 45 minutes...I don't really want to go back to that shop though.
Thanks

Re: Please help - exhaust cutout install time
It would prolly take close to a hour guessin. Most shops have a 1 hour minimum labor charge also. Might be just a 30 min job but they still charge for 1 hour. I know it sucks but other option is find a bud that can weld and offer him a 12 pk - just don let him drink till he finishes lol j/k. GL and which cutout ya get? I'm thinkin on the QTEC here but don wanna chop up the stock or pay for a $$$ just to chop it. Decisions, decisions.

Re: Please help - exhaust cutout install time
Thanks fellas, I got the QTEC cutout and am really looking forward to getting it in tonight.
I'm gonna go to the local shop and ask em if they'll just charge me for long long it takes (1/2 hour min) because $90 to weld in a $35 cutout just seems a bit high.
I'll let you know how the install goes and what the final price was (the QTEC was $185 after shipping).
