My exhaust vs. x-pipe
I have Hooker longtubes, Mufflex y-pipe and a Hooker catback. For some reason, my exhaust is raspy as all hell. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> I thought the Hooker catback would take care of that. Anyway, if I keep my exhaust I will be installing a bullet muffler in the I-pipe. But, lately I've been thinking of getting rid of this exhaust and going with true duals. How much weight will I save with turndowns? A substantial bit, I assume. Is there any way to keep duals relatively quiet? Will dual Borla XR1 mufflers do the trick with the turndowns angled toward each other? Thanks a lot for any feedback.

Re: My exhaust vs. x-pipe
We had a customer pick up 17 rwhp over the Hooker Y and Loudmouth cat-back. Gains were even more at 5-5500 rpm.
this is with a Dr. Gas X - all 3", Dynomax bullets.
