I say do your exhaust. Get your LTs, a catback that suits your taste, and a Y-pipe to mate them up. Or, go true duals if you'd like. I'd suggest doing all the basic bolt-ons before putting your gear in the rear... chances are you'll want to put in a 12-bolt or 9".

gears! and get some 4:10's if you have an M6..... a full bolt on car will match up to a stock one w/ 4:10's

but ya with gears your more likely to bust that 10 bolt.... i have 3:73's and drag radials and any day now it's gonna go

I have headers and love them. I love the sound, looks and the sotp.

I wish I'd have done headers and y instead of gears and install.

i think you'd see more gains at the track from the headers. i'd leave your gears alone being an m6 and upgrade the rear and gears when you break your 10 bolt.

Definitely noticable, makes the car feel a lot faster. But for the price of the gears and install, new bearings...and then getting the pinion bearing replaced again 5 months later......I could have just bought a 12 bolt.

I wish I'd have just spent that money on qtps.

I'd definitely say exhaust... save the gears for when you change out your rear.

How come the 2000 SS isn't in your sig? Just curious.

LT Headers! I shaved off 4 tenths w/ kooks LT's and CYP, and 2 more tenths w/ 3.90's.

In my mind I did gears first because i looked at the bang for the buck factor. 4.10 gears and install kit only ran me $400 dollars plus those 4.10s make the car fun as hell. Now considering headers I want to go with QTPs and ORY which would be $1000, so looking at the price difference i did gears first I figured headers would come later.
