Default Moreperformance headers?

Anyone seen or tried them yet?
Y-pipe with cats and 3" merge collector sounds good.

The LS1 F-body long tube headers I saw looked like Grot's (QuickTime's now I guess) and Hooker's. Grot is out of business. I know MORE did offer a custom faded Y pipe for Grot's as MORE did GP's on the Grotts & Y pipes from time to time.

I'm surprised nobody seems to know anything about them. Are they a brand new design or something ?

This is great, now if a couple more folks like Mac would fall in line and start building them it would be even better. More competition=less $. It was terrible a couple yrs ago or so when the cheapest LTs were SLPs and they were a grand.

www.thunderracing.com has the same headers, but race only.
<img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

maybe they are QTP's?

don't know, haven't seen them in a while, but

they're definitley NOT macs/hookers/flps/TTS/SLP's.

M LS1 FB98-99C
1998-99 LS1 FB header (coated), $795

M LS1 FB Y PIPE WC
LS1 FB Y-Pipe w/Random cats, $550
______________________________________________

Well, it will cost you $1,345 + shipping for a set of coated headers with y-pipe and cats. Thats more than the FLPs!

In fact, I bought a set of FLPs on sale from FLP about a month ago for $1,100 + shipping.

Why is there a $300 diffrence for coated and uncoated for the hookers? Is it avredge to add $300 for coated?

I emailed More Perf. about there headers and this is what they said:
More LS1 F Body full length header 1998-03 models

1 3/4" primary header with a 3" merge collector

Quality construction Ceramic coated inside and out

Available with or without air tube fittings

Excellent ground clearance and fit

Install from bottom of vehicle with ease

Nothing extra to remove to install

Optional Y pipe with or without Random Cats (7000 series stainless steel bullet cat, best flowing cats available)

Includes gaskets and bolts

I hope the information above answers most of your questions.

Just like Grot, we designed them and have a company making them for us.

The ypipe is 3#.

We haven't dyno tested them but believe they will perform as well if not better than any LS1 F Body header on the market.

They are by far the easiest to fit up.

Thanks.
