Gutting the Cats. Need your input!
What about inspections/emissions? how much is it to buy a new cat to replace the one you would gut?

As long as you have the rear o2 sensors taken care of then you're ok. So either have LS1Edit remove the rear o2 sensors or if you have o2 simms.
You're in Texas and if you have a 96' or newer car with OBD2 they just plug their computer in and check for codes. I just passed the other day. So don't worry about it, "YOU CAN DO IT!!!"
Peace,
Craig.
FYI....get a face mask....I started to do it without and started caughing (then put the mask on). Later I found out there is asbestous inside....good thing I only went for like 30 seconds and said "this sucks...too much dust"
Oh BTW, that includes the trip to the chevy dealer to get 6 studs just in case.
Is it fairly easy to gut them? Does anyone have any tips on the best way to do it?
