Very tricky question within...Controlling idle via switch... OK. I have an A4, it will be a H/C car, blah blah blah. Tuning and the whole bit.
Here's my question...
Can I wire a rotary switch (like stereo volume) to the idle? For instance if I want the cam to sound trippy I can set it at 650/700, and if I am doing a cold start after a week I can set it at 1200.
Saw a diagram once, but want to wire it to a switch. Can it be done?

Re: Very tricky question within...Controlling idle via switch... The only thing close to that I've seen is Steve Harmon's manually controlled IAC valve. You pull the motor off the valve and attach a throttle cable from a lawn mower. Something I'd like to try sometime. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
