Nitrous and race gas dilema
I live in CA, our gas here is only 91 octane. I have 10.8:1 compression. I know I need to run at least 100 octane with my compression when I squeeze.
So my question is... has anyone created a system when they can switch to an alternate fuel source on the fly? I was thinking of having a 2-3 gallon fuel cell full of 104 octane, with a switch after my fuel filter, that opens the way for the 104 octane, then slowly cuts out the flow from the regular 91 octane tank.
I've had various ideas of how to do this, and I think if I can do it as a gradual mix, and then cut out the 91 completely, I won't lose any fuel pressure, and I will be able to switch to race gas on the fly.
Any comments/suggestions?
