Have strange problem with coolant temp... Need help plssssss!!!!!!

Have strange problem with coolant temp... Need help plssssss!!!!!! The car is a C5 '99 with DRM stroker engine with Big radiator.
It was running fine with 200 in trafic with a/c on and 100 outside temp. Then suddenly one day the coolant temp going up to 225 in same condition.
What I did is I flushed the radiator and change the coolant to a Prestone coolant after the flush.
I was very happy because the problem was fixed completely. But it was running very cool again (like 180-195 maximum) for about a month and half because TODAY I notice the same problem...
In idle and mid day with a/c on and 110 outside temp, the coolant temp go up, and up, and up to 230....
I don't know what's going on...
Do I need to change the coolant evry 2 months??
I checked the fans, relay, thermostat, everything except the water pump, but it isn't leaking anything...
So what really happen in my case??
I'm just frustrated because I thought I solved the problem...

If you've gone from Dexcool to standard coolant you may need to do a second flush, I had this on my Blazer, it took flushing it 3 times to get the sludge from the Dexcool out of the coolant passages (like a dumbass I believed it was actually a 5 year coolant <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> )
Re: Have strange problem with coolant temp... Need help plssssss!!!!!! It sounds like a sticking T-stat.Check the T-stat plunger and spring. On mine, the plunger edge was
getting caught on one of the spring coils.
Like mentioned above, you need to flush the dexcool on a regular basis to prevent sludge accumulation.

I don't know where to find a Dexcool here in Panama. If it is very important I would like to buy from U.S. and then shipp to me.
What I did is I flush the radiator with a AC Delco flusher, then I add 2 gallons of Prestone coolant. That's it. It was working very good. In a traffic mid day the temp just was 190 with a/c on and in the night no more than 176.
I was very happy... But after a month and half, again this high temp problem...
Is it good idea to change the water pump and the termosthat again??

Need help plssssss!!!!!! dont buy a new thermostat...take the old one apart and check the springs ...somthing may be binding......while you are at it you could decrease the temp on it by adding simms (i used tin foil) to the housing where the neddle valve seats....a great mod and free too...
