ported MAF ends I have a 2001 SS (lightly modified), and I just installed some ported MAF ends from Thunder Racing. Seemed ok at first, but when I was at WOT at high RPM's, there was some obvious pinging. I know that to correct the lean a/f ratio I should use a MAF translator, but I'm not sure what setting I would need. I heard that AutoTap is one way of going about it, but I was wondering people's thoughts about just using an a/f gauge (AutoMeter, for example) connected to the O2 sensor, and using that to find the correct translator setting. Any thoughts?

See if you can post if anyone has Atap near you.
You'll be better off monitoring KR instead of the highly inaccurate factory O2 sensors.
Otherwise, you'll just be guessing. And when you have your MAFT calibrated to result in no pinging, you might actually be running too rich.
Need to Atap the MAFT dude.
