how long does it take to pull an ls1 out of car
You will need strong help and the right tools. Figure 1-2 buddies to help and drink beer. Also I used 3 rolling floor jacks and an engine hoist.
Used the jacks to triangulate the K-member/tranny/engine and roll it out. Used the engine hoist to lift the body off the K-member.

Mostly depends on your experience. You do not need a lift. You do need an engine hoist though. Remove everything from the front of the motor and the exhaust/headers. Also remove the radiator. Comes right out the top.
<strong>I've had mine in and out several times by myself. One time, I dropped the tranny, pulled the motor, and had the crank out and on the way to the machine shop in 5 hours.

I have the heads off right now and it's all tore apart and needs to be yanked so this would be alot easier.

Not only that, but you have full access to your whole engine without having to cut the hell out of your arms while reaching under the dash to work on anything-just not fair <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
