They will really start to shine once you put a cam and heads in your car

It depends on what mods you have when you install the headers. If you have heads or do heads at the same time as the headers then great the headers will get you the extra HPs, if not you won't get that much out of just headers. If you don't have hi flow heads the converter will definitely yeild more gain. Do them both and really
In good air (-1500 DA) last Feb. the car ran 11.98 w/1.58 60 ft, through the stock exhaust manifolds and a cut-out.
IMHO if you can only do one of the mods , go with the converter. Also check out the top 50 NA lists in the drag racing section to research for the most effecient converter out there. I'm a "Yank man" myself. Yes I was referring to the type of converter I like most.lol.Good luck!

The FLP's will give you more performance but I didn't feel it was worth the $700 - $800 more. If your looking for every last HP, get the FLP's.But if bang for the buck is important, get the Mac's.
let me re-phrase the question for you... Is it worth the money ($1200) or are there other things that would help more for the same 1200 -- perhaps a 3200 stall converter instead..

Between a convertor and headers, convertor will definitely be the better choice to do first.
