bolting block to engine stand ?

bolting block to engine stand ? i know i need to use screws into the block through the stand but what holes and what size bolts should I use? I dont want to use a wrong hole and **** up the threads.

Re: bolting block to engine stand ? You bolt to the tranny end, usually the 4 bolts that surround the tranny mounting pins (2 each side). Use same size as tranny bell housing bolts, only longer to fit through your stand and the full depth of the thread on the block (mine are about 4.2 inches). I have used metric grade 8.8 bolts successfully but would go with higher if you can find them.
