Anyone familiar with Northern Virginia emissions? I have some Kooks long tubes ready to go on my 2002 Z28 but I need to pass emissions. If I have the air and o2 codes deleted will the car pass? Sorry if this has been covered. I did search around a bit and can't find the answer. Thanks

I am with these guys can anyone answer this because I need to know what is the deal with the scanner. Also if I delete a SES code right before the smog scan test will that give me a not ready code?

Hey everyone ! I am about to get a set of ceramic coated pacesetter headers with smog fittings for the 00-02 fbodies and a TSP catted y pipe with 3" magnaflow high flow cats, corvette heated 02s for the front and 02 sims for the rear. Do I need anything else in order to pass the Houston inspection??? Thanks

not sure what the inspectors do in houston but you should be fine as far as obdII goes and visual...if they do a sniffer you might not pass...if they are super picky on visual inspection you might not pass since you relocated the cats...good luck though man

Thanks Nick. Right now I'm running just an Offroad Y with the codes deleted. I figure If I'm gonna have to change some things to pass, then I might as well add headers and whatever else I can.

i just put in the same headers and they are very nice!...if you deleted the codes you wont need o2 sims...if they dont do a visual inspection then you dont have to do the cats...if you do need cats for visual then you can gut them if you want since you already took care of the rear o2 codes...its up to you...some guys swear by keeping cats on some hate em, both ways have their pros and cons...

Default AIR code P0410

Has anyone else seen this code and if so, what does it mean? Is the pump failing or just a bad sensor. I have a '00 T/A BTW, lightly modded. Just a loudmouth, lid and K&N.

Thank you Nick. I'll let my husband know. From the sig, you can see HerLS1 drives a Camaro. My husband doesn't have an LS1TECH login (what's up with that, who owns an F-body and doesn't have a login to LS1Tech?) so he hacked in using mine

no problem...when you change the air valve be ready with i think two 1" wrenches (its been a while since i changed mine) just unbolt the two bolts and pull the thing out of the rubber hose, then use the wrenches to separate the valve from the pipe...if its anything like mine you are gonna need a ton of muscle to get the pipe off the valve...

I just have some information regarding smog part interchangeability in case anyone ever runs into the same issues I have when smogging their f-body. I have a 1998 z28 and I installed 2000 exhaust manifolds and cats. The AIR injection needs to be a 2000 as well as the EGR pipe that runs to the exhaust manifolds. The 98 ones did not fit the 2000 exhaust manifolds and cats.

I recently bought a bone stock 2000 Z28. I am installing a LS6 intake, Off road Pacesetter Headers, ORY (no cats) & SLP cat back. I got the manifolds off. I know about the simulators or about deleting the code by a tuner. My question is about the the hoses from the manifolds to the box in the back driver side left over from install of the headers. What do you do with them? I alreday broke my oil sending unit removing my Intake. I have to deal with that tomorrow.

Need the help... Thanks

don't own an f-body or anything, but i read somewhere else that you may need to replace your engine mounts, perhaps with stiffer ones?

havent read the article, but i think the answer may be here https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ion-motor.html

Please include this in the sticky, very helpful info for removing the air system. Lets people see what is back there before they dig into an ls6 install or AIR removal:
