Default Bolts with Headers??

I just bought some pacsetter headers and 8 of the bolts are the same size and four are a different size. This is normal right?? Also the guy that sold em told me that locking bolts would be better, but i don't want to get the locking i just want to use the ones that came with them. Will i have any problems with the bolts?

Use the stockers all of them are the same size, the majority of people just reuse the stockers

Yep, stockers will work fine. I slapped the headers in and never had to touch the bolts again. No leaks.

Agreed....re-use your stockers. I'm using ARP header studs, but the engine is out of the car, and stripped to the bare block, so they'll be a piece of cake to install.

Remember...steel fastener/tapped aluminum hole...use a SMALL DAB of Never Seize (or equivalent) on the fastener threads, and you won't have to worry about strippin' out a hole. No, they won't loosen or back out.....I've done two installs this way, and no problems.........

Why not? As long as you don't have any trouble backin' 'em out, they should be fine. You may want to clean up the fastener threads with a wire brush....if they look okay, go for it.

The rear two bolts on each side of the engine can be a bich. I found that a 10mm swivel-head, ratcheting box wrench made it easier to get to 'em.

if you look at the bolt grade on your stockers and the ones pace setter gives you i beleive the stock is 10.5 and pacesetters is 8.5... thus use your stockers, its a better bolt
