How bad are the MAC cats??

How bad are the MAC cats?? How bad are they? I have MAC headers with the MAC y and a Borla with the open plate. I'm going to be doing a heads/cam install next week and I worried that my cats are too restrictive. I'd like to keep cats so I don't run into trouble with the law. Which cats would flow better? Could I install better cats into my MAC ypipe without ruining the integrity of the ypipe? Thanks, any advice would help. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I really do not know how bad they are. I do know that the Stockers are actually pretty good, and for aftermarket FLPs cats are supposed to flow well. Annother idea would be to leave the cat body on and gut the inside. May be able to side step the law a 'lil on the ticket visuals <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> . Would be loud with open plate though. I remember someone posting about this once, maybe Nineball? TTT for ya.

Re: How bad are the MAC cats?? gut the cats and weld in a piece of straight pipe throught the center. if you want to help keep the sound down slightly you can put holes in the pipe thats goin throught the cats.
