FLP headers with stock cat-back - no gain???
Before the headers, I also installed 85-MAF, LS6 intake, ported TB, cold air package, straight tubes, air lid, etc.
I was surprised at how little increase the LT headers made - although the car is louder, I don't believe it is significantly faster with the headers.
Is the factory cat-back muffler a significant restriction in the exhaust system that is limiting the full potential of the headers?
I ended up cutting off my stock exhaust and putting on a borla. It runs Wide Open all the time. If I did it all over again (and I may yet), I'd probably have gone with the SLP Loudmouth instead. Though knowing I can cut the volumn whenever I want is nice.
P.S. I LOVE my Borla+FLP's too! <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
