QTP Header System Pics
1) Is there a Y-pipe available without the "spouts" for the cutouts?? My car is exclusively street-driven and I have had my fill of deafening exhaust systems, so I can't see myself ever uncapping the cutouts; no reason to have the potential leaks there if I don't need the feature.
2) I currently have a set of SLP headers that I am going to try to sell so I can get the QTP's. However, I plan on keeping the "SLP" (Random Tech) cats and having the Y-pipe modded to accept them (perhaps add flanges to the Y-pipe and on either end of each cat; will also likely get a set of bullets to put in place of the cats). Looking at the pics, it seems that this would be a viable possibility but without actually seeing the piece, it's difficult to tell. Even though I shouldn't have to pass a sniffer test, I'd like the option of at least acting like I can make a reasonable attempt at it if I have to.
3) Are the colored ceramic coatings as effective at reducing underhood temp/preventing corrosion as the "chrome"/silver coatings?? I am leaning towards the cast grey coating.
4) Is the location of the Y-pipe outlet is approximately the correct location for connection to a Mufflex 4" system??
Thanks for any input.
I don't know, I'm just throwing it out there, and making sure that it is considered... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
