Well, I got the cats gutted and the manifold back on the car, but one of the damn manifold bolts fell into the abyss and cannot be located .
Can I get a similar bolt from the hardware store? IF so, what size-thread-pitch, etc. Or do I just need to bite the bullet and wait for a dealership to order one?

bite the bullet.
It's metric so it would be hard to find, at least around here. Won't hurt to drive around with it out for a few days. I would.
Just get it in there when you get the bolt.

OK then.
1 vote for bite the bullet , but drive it for a few days anyway .
I test fired it once, sounds nice with no muffler, just a turn down, and the cats gutted!!

I have spent a lot of time trying to find the damn bolt. I feel like I have molested every square inch I can get my big *** hands into . Was gonna stop by the Pontiac dealership on the way to get groceries, and they must close the Parts/Service area early on Fridays because they were shut-up 45 mins. early .
Wait untill Monday I guess. Bolt should be here on Tuesday afternoon.

I dropped a socket wrench while doing headers. But after I got the manifolds off I was able to stick my hand in and fine the wrench. My advice is keep looking.

It could've dropped down inside the motor mount. I dropped a plug down in there once,a real pain in the *** to get out....but if the bolt's down in there, one of those long spring flexible magnets should pull it out, if that's in fact where it fell to. Good luck. WJ.
