problem hooking up MSD 6AL and timing retard.

problem hooking up MSD 6AL and timing retard. I hooked everything up like it said, along with the timing retard box and now my car idles VERY low and is hesitating to build up rpms, and then around 2k it all jumps with full power sticking me in my seat when i half to give it half throttle to go.
I also have the wire harness. i bypass the 6al and it works fine. So could the MSD be bad? bypassed the Timing Retard box and THAT was the problem.
I hooked it up from what MSD tech said.
From Retard - YELLOW-WHITE on the 6AL and WHITE-WHITE (on harness)
This sound right?
Is there anything that i could of done wrong. I even called MSD and they told me how to hook eeverything up and to also splice one of the wires from the digital window switch box into one of the wires from the 6AL..
But i was going to call them back, but they closed now.
Please help asap...
