Mac Headers Install Question I just got a set of Mac Headers w/ORY from a buddy that got the set for his 2001 Camaro specifically. So what all will I have to do to get these to work on my 98 Z28. I talked to someone and said I would need block off plates and o2 simms. Also I would just need to remove my EGR and plug the hole on the intake. So is there any thing else thats going to need to be done or any tips on how whats the best way to get this done. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Mac Headers Install Question if the headers have the hook ups for air and egr then you wont need block off plates, there should be air hook ups but i dont know if mac has made special 01 and 02 headers with out the egr but if that is the case then you will need to remove the egr and plug the hole in the intake, and if you feel so inclined remove the code or you will have an SES light on. also you will need to get o2 sims unless you dont mind having an SES light on for that code as well or either get the code deleted.

Re: Mac Headers Install Question Thanks for the reply. So how much should I expect to pay to have the EGR code removed. I have o2 simms on the way so I won't have to worry about those codes.

Re: Mac Headers Install Question All MAC headers are designed for the 98-99s. There are no updates/changes for the 01-02 cars, the headers all come with the EGR & air tube hookup so if you are not interested in dumping the EGR just get a new gasket for the pipe. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
