Help oil My oil pressure has been running really high. I recently did an oil change and used 5 1/2 quarts of redline 5w-30 and k&n oilfilter.
Everything seems to be fine. I let is sit for a day and then the next day I let the car warmup for 2 or 3 mins, i take it out slow. Then the pressure doesnt go down to prob the 3/4 mark. When im close to WOT it hits the 80 mark, but it doesnt go past 80. After the car has warmed up on the road, the pressure drops to right in the middle of the gauge at idle, but still at wot or close to it it shoots to 80. Can Anyone help me with this? Another weird thing that has happend is the skip-shift light goes on when the engine is at 210º and everything is running properly. Re: Help oil dont know wha the problem with your skip shift light is but your oil pressure is fine mine did the same thing when i switched it to full synthetic at 500 miles. another thing is ive heard the k&n oil filters can cause it to jump a little to. after you put a few miles on the oil and your car gets used to full synthetic it will probably come down a little bit. Mine stays between 40 and 60 cruising and goes up around 80 at wot. if ive been runing my car hard though it will drop down a little lower at iddle but that is normal.

Re: Help oil Ya i agree. It seems somewhat normal, although mine isnt that high. Mines usually about 40 and goes to 65 at WOT. Check you transmission for fluid is my guess? Sry i duno about the skip shift light.
