Spark plug/WOT ping question
Back before I knew better, I spent 4 hours putting in a set of Bosch platinum plugs. The car still runs okay and all, but since the lid and plugs, it pings at WOT over 4500 rpm. Then(months later...
) it hit me the other day... would a colder plug take away the pinging???So ummm, would it? And would anyone happen to know the NGK equivalent heat range of a Bosch platinum plug for stock LS1?

Is a lid the only you have? Do you spray?
You might want to try some seafoam/top end cleaner (recent thread about it, do a search).
I know colder plugs don't really run colder. They just pull heat from the cylinders more than hotter ones with more porcelain in the business end... so they actually run hotter, if you think about it. A shot in the dark, but I'm gonna give it a shot.
