Are all lids created equal?

Fit and quality in general are poor IMO. I have had a few problems with getting it to fit properly.

I get about 20 degrees higher IAT numbers than it really is outside with my SLP lid. That affects WOT a/f and can affect timing too when it really gets hot. I wonder if all lids do the same.

The stock lid does that too. It doesn't effect WOT O2 readings though (not in my testing at least.) To lessen this effect get a Fast Toys Ram Air kit to go with your lid. You can also control what your PCM reads as your intake air temperature with a simple resistor placed in the harness where it would normally plug into the IAT sensor.
IAT Sensor Resistor values
5k = 78*
4.9k = 71*
4.8k = 64*
4.7k = 57*
4.6k = 50*
As you can see, each tenth makes 7 degrees difference. I believe you want it at least as low as 57 degrees for max timing advance.
My favorite lid is the MTI clear lid. Looks cool when plumbed with nitrous jets. Also looks nice with a K&N or Holley filter underneath.
