HEADERS HELP.....PLEEZ
Also, is there any performance difference in using headers with block off plates then compared to headers that do not have EGR/AIR tube provisions?
Adnan
Thanks,

thats about all i can think of off the top of my head.
but as mentioned above, ur car does have the AIR, so you'll need to make some air restrictor plates so you dont burn out your air check valves. you'll just need a block off plate for the EGR. to complete the install you'll need a Y pipe (hooker ORP, mufflex Y, or custom) and cats if you want to run them. You'll also need some band clamps. You can re-use your stock bolts and gaskets or buy new ones.

Also, what is the air restrictor plate and why do I need it? I thought all I need in EGR blocer plate since my 02 car alsready has air tube provisioning?
Sorry for dumb questions.

Alot of people have reported sloppy welds on the Hooker headers. With the Jet Hot headers, this should not be an issue.

You can see band clamps in the pic of my headers. I have one on the end of each header:

They are not necessary, but take the place of welds, and make it easier to separate the headers from the Y-pipe if you should need to. And no, they are not included in the installation kit.
AIR restrictor plates are similar to blockoff plates, but have a small (usually 3/16") hole drilled through it. The reason for this, is when you have headers on your car, your AIR check valves will flutter from the increased flow, and this will eventually burn them out and that will set an SES code. Putting the restrictor plates in there slows down the flow of the exahuast gases in the AIR pipes thus minimizing flutter.
Not sure if that explanation makes any sense, but its something you really need. If you dont put them in, you will eventually set an SES code.
