Re: Difference in coated or plain headers? I have Macs that are ceramic coated and I would not think of going back to the plain headers. they look much better and reduce heat in the engine bay. I.E more power.
Re: Difference in coated or plain headers? if your considering get it ceramic coated, i'd go with Jet Hot. When you get the hooker coating its only coated on the outside, Jet Hot coats their headers inside and out. Coating the headers, prolongs the life of the headers, makes the look really good, and also keeps the air in the engine compartment cooler allowing for a denser a/f charge. If youget Jet Hot coating, the coatin on the inside smooths out the surface of the pipe allowing for better exhaust flow.
Difference in coated or plain headers? I'm going to be ordering the Hooker LTs soon, and was wondering what the difference was between the plain option and the ceramic coating? Is it worth the extra money? What does it help exactly? Is there any other coating cheaper besides that? What have you guys done when ordering your Hooker LTs? Thanks a lot!
