Default Bad O2 or Bad wire or wtf just break stuff

2 weeks ago my o2 sensor on my passenger side threw a P0155 code "o2 Sensor Heater circuit failure (Bank 2 Sensor 1) -- I had a defective planetary gear in my tranny so it was in the shop for a day and a half and the next morning when I started up the car It threw a code P0154 "o2 Sensor CKT No activity (Bank 2 Sensor 1)" Today I swapped my sensor after the cat with the sensor before the cat on the passenger side (ls1edit w/ deleted rear o2's) I erased the code and now 40 miles later SES light and yet again the P0154 code.

This is freakin pissing me off as well as after my H/C install my passenger side fog lamp just quit working all together (tried replacing bulb) and now my passenger side o2 isn't working either the only thing I can think is it has to be a wiring problem

I checked the wires and as far as I can tell none of them are burned or melted at all, they are zip-tied away from my LT's.

I found today that some people have fixed this by resetting the pcm. well I reset the pcm twice by pulling neg, first time neg was off for 6 mins before I reconnected, SES light didn't go away, so I did it again and left it disconnected for over 20 mins, STILL had a SES light after reconnect.

Did an idle relearn, cleared the code, drove the car about 2 miles, did another idle relearn and during the process a F***ing SES light appears and guess what code it was P0154!!!

This makes no damned sense that after over a year of these headers being on the car it just NOW starts having this problem.

I'm about to go apeshit if I can't get this thing fixed soon, inspection is due in march but car drives and runs super shitty when this light is on.

did you happen to extend the o2 sensor wire yourself? or did you buy the extensions? if you soderred them yourself, there is the problem. i and many, had the same problem! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

I did buy o2 extensions

I don't know how but the tranny shop that fixed my tranny managed to cut one of the 4 wires in the o2 extension.

I'm just gonna go buy two new ones so I'll have an extra if this ever happens again.

Just so you know...disconnecting the negative battery cable will not reset the PCM. You have to do that and pull the PCM fuse under the hood for it to actually reset.
At least, that is the only way it works on my car.

I extended the o2 wire myself. Is this what is setting a code? "GATOR'S 99T/A" did you fix by buying an extension?
