Header question: Which left is left?

Header question: Which left is left? Looking at headers to order. Found a pair and was looking at Summits foot notes on the product and it said this.
54 - Bracket part # WLK-88300 and WLK-88302 are required for 1969 and earlier vehicles with a left hand exhaust manifold mounted generator/alternator.
Which left does this mean?
Left side with hood opened looking at the motor?
Or left hand side while sitting in the drivers seat?

All right and left notations are as if you were seated in the vehicle. Some folks mess this one up but it is the standard none the less. Some shop manuals (heavy truck) go with the "curb side" "street side" notations with curb being right and street being left.
Most stuff is frerenced from the drivers seat position. One exception I can think of is engine rotation when running. It is CW, but that's when you're standing in front of the vehicle with hood open not from the drivers seat. Just be aware of the exceptions.
