Mac header worth $500?

Got a guy that wants to sell me his Mac LT headers and Y pipe for $500. Is this a good deal or should I spend more for another brand? Thanks ahead of time.

FYI, the Mac headers are a mid-length design, not a longtube. Second, you can buy the Mac headers with an off-road pipe for around $550. Add $200 for the hi-flow cats. Mac's "hi-flow" cats actually flow less than the stock cats on your car. If he's selling you a Mac setup with ORP, then $500 is too expensive IMO. If it's with the cats in the y-pipe, then it's a decent price.

I got mine from Speed Inc. brand new for $479 a while back. Had them Jet Hot coated for about $200 more. I agree with what the others said $500 is too much for a set used.

yes,mac headers are worth it. when i added my macs i went from 12.8's to 12.4's.you may not gain 3.1/2tenths like i did but you will gain. goodluck to ya.
